Your To-Do Checklist

Your To-Do Checklist

The big job right we’re focused on now is rebuilding the new Member Set Up Tour, though we’re taking a slightly different approach this time around. Since the GlobalEye package tends to evolve and grow so much, we’ve designed the rebuild to work more as an ongoing ‘Checklist’ so we can add and update items as required, and you can always see at a glance what needs doing. So you’ll be able to check in anytime and see if there’s…

Update on our Updates

Update on our Updates

Work is progressing on the new Members Area, with a number of jobs completed this week… A couple of people noted there was a bug in the Tearsheet Import function on your Dashboard and the images weren’t being copied over properly. That’s been corrected now if you had troubles, so please give it another try. That is there as a temporary option for you to import any existing Tearsheets and/or Articles as new Blog Posts, before we delete the old…

Re-Launch Specials Ending Soon!

Re-Launch Specials Ending Soon!

We are getting close to reopening to new photographers so there’s a couple of items that will affect current Members… 1. Membership Agreement & Package Changes The new offer has been updated to reflect the overall plan outlined in our last few updates. We’ve fleshed that out to define a new ‘package’ and we’re currently setting up a number of new systems and procedures to streamline operations within that structure. We hope to complete the bulk of that work this…

Security Warnings

Security Warnings

We had a brief issue with our security certificate over the weekend… a small glitch installing the renewed certificate meant a few people got a security warning in their browser when trying to access the website. That’s always a bit unnerving when you encounter those kinds of warnings, so I apologise for any concerns, but please rest assured it was nothing major and was quickly resolved.

Weekly Digest Emails Are Back

Weekly Digest Emails Are Back

We’ve updated the Members Newsletters format to a new platform, so you now have the original ‘Digest’ options back on what should be a more reliable system. Once a week this will send you a short summary of any new items posted to the Members blog so you can check anything of interest. For convenience we added everyone to the Weekly Digest with your primary email address. If you aren’t interested, you can unsubscribe at the bottom of the email,…

A Couple More Updates Completed

A Couple More Updates Completed

We’ve now relocated our Helpdesk and Knowledgebase onto the main GlobalEye website. https://GlobalEyeStock.com/Support The old Helpdesk was really too complicated for our needs, so we’ve gone for a much simpler solution that should make it easier for everyone. You still have the Quick Contact form available in the Members Area for quick/simple queries and feedback, suggestions etc, but please try to use the Helpdesk for any tech support issues so we can track them to a resolution. We’ve imported all…

Why The Photographer-Focus For The Launch

Why The Photographer-Focus For The Launch

A couple of people have asked about the ‘photographer’ content we’re using for the launch, and why we’re not more focused on ‘buyers’? The short answer is, that will come later… For starters we want the search engines, Google in particular, to see a new site with a lot of activity, a lot of social signals and probably most important of all… a site that people spend some serious time on. Photographers will do all that for us. We’ll keep…

GlobalEye Stock Blog & Photo Lab

GlobalEye Stock Blog & Photo Lab

If you've had a look around the new website, you'll have noticed we've added a lot of content to the Photographer's area, in particular The Blog and the training area: the Lab. In recent years we've let ourselves get spread a little bit thin with blogs and resource sites all over the place. A lot of it was automated so it was manageable, and it worked well for us in the search engines, so it was worth the effort. Times…
